Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist John McEuen—often called “the String Wizard”—has been performing worldwide with his banjo, fiddle, guitar, and mandolin for more than 50 years. He weaves stories of his travels and family life into his performances, taking listeners through where his musical path has taken him.
A founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, McEuen initiated the band’s classic 1972 album Will the Circle Be Unbroken, which brought together icons from bluegrass, country, and West Coast country-rock and holds a place in the Library of Congress as one of America’s most important recordings. McEuen’s show takes the audience behind the curtain of the music world that so many know only as listeners and shows how we have all been a part of it—more than we may know.
Featuring music from the 1800s to now, original songs and known hits, and a special tribute to the album and its stories, McEuen’s tribute to Will the Circle Be Unbroken comes to life in an evening of acoustic music in overdrive.
