Sarah Jarosz partakes of both inspiration and optimism.
Sarah Jarosz was hailed as a bluegrass prodigy long before she even graduated high school. It was her skills as a multi-instrumentalist that initially gained her attention, but she has since gone on to achieve success as a singer-songwriter.
With her captivating voice and richly detailed songwriting, Sarah Jarosz has emerged as one of the most compelling musicians of her generation. A four-time Grammy winner, the Texas native started singing as a young girl and became an accomplished multi-instrumentalist by her early teens. After releasing her full-length debut, Song Up in Her Head, at 18, Jarosz delivered several critically lauded albums, including 2013’s Build Me Up from Bones, and formed the acclaimed, Grammy-winning folk trio I’m With Her with Aoife O’Donovan and Sara Watkins. Her most recent albums, 2020’s World on the Ground and 2021’s Blue Heron Suite, continue to move her music forward, brimming with irresistible melodies and compelling songwriting.
