Randy Schneewind is the chief executive officer of the Berg Group, LLC, based in Chaska, Minnesota, and Phoenix, Arizona. He began his career as a project manager at Berg Drywall in 1992. In 2004, he was named as the company’s president and became CEO in 2012. Prior to acquiring Berg Drywall, Schneewind started a plastering company from the ground up. Later, he bought a paint company, then added an acoustical division, and subsequently expanded the geographic reach of the company to cover thirty-six states, with offices in Minnesota, Arizona, and California.

In addition to his role as CEO, Schneewind has served on the boards of various trade and industry organizations, including the Association of Union Contractors (TAUC), Allstar Construction, Levelus Construction, and Gresser Concrete & Masonry, as well as the Ridgeview Medical Center Foundation. Currently, he sits on the boards of the Minnesota Drywall and Plaster Association (MDPA) and the Foundation Group.

Schneewind’s philanthropic interests center around family, youth, health, and the desire to positively effect change. He has been a generous donor to the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge for over ten years. Furthermore, he is involved in Project Success, an organization focused on motivating young people about the future and ensuring that children have the skills and confidence to take them through the rest of their lives.

Aside from serving as a member of MIM’s advisory board, Schneewind is proud to have been part of MIM’s construction team and is a frequent visitor to the museum when he is in the Valley.
