Violinist Rachel Barton Pine and harpsichordist Jory Vinikour are renowned for their interpretations of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. The musicians and lifelong friends enjoy getting together to read sonatas whenever they are in the same city, and, in 2018, they realized a longtime dream of recording Bach’s six sonatas for violin and keyboard. On their subsequent tours, they explored more recent works for the same instrument combination.
In this program, Pine and Vinikour perform four works from Bach’s repertoire, including two of Bach’s six sonatas for violin and harpsichord.
