A traditional Irish band with a worldwide reach, Téada is a frequent headliner at major music festivals around the world. Their highlights include a 30,000-capacity stadium concert in Brittany and performances at the Rainforest World Music Festival and Penang World Music Festival in Malaysia, the Edmonton Folk Music Festival in Canada, the Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe, and the World Music Festival @ Taiwan. In 2014, the band performed to 40,000 people during an extensive seven-week tour of Japan and Taiwan.
Spring 2022 brought the release of Coiscéim Coiligh / As the Days Brighten, Téada’s sixth album on the Gael Linn label. It features the brilliant vocals of the late Séamus Begley along with the band’s customary re-energizing of rare traditional Irish tunes.
